So, I have decided I am going to start doing a book review each month to share with you guys some books I am loving, or even books I don't love..to be completely honest, I have never been into reading much. Reading actually makes me want to fall asleep. Like instantly. Thank god for audible because I pretty much only listen to audiobooks now and it really helps me feel connected to the outside earth outside of motherhood and work!
Her approach is very bold and unfiltered, so if you don't like a little smack in the face of what the hell are YOU doing to improve YOUR life today and TRUST in the power of the creator, your mind and this universe then this book may not be for you.
Here are a few key points + quotes I loved from this book to help entice you to pick this little number up for yourself.
1. " It’s not your fault if you’re fucked up. But it is if you stay fucked up."
-Our subconscious mind contains the blueprint for our lives. It’s running the show based on the unfiltered information it gathered when we were kids, otherwise known as our beliefs. When our conscious minds finally develop and show up for work, no matter how big or smart they grow to be, they’re still being controlled by beliefs we’re carrying around in our subconscious mind.
2. You must put out the energy you are wanting to attract. You need to raise your frequency to match the vibration of the one you want to tune in to.
IE: if you think life sucks, it is going to suck.
-Shit is going to hit the fan at any given moment in your life, it is not in your control what happens to you, it is in your control how you respond, and act accordingly. The world works in ways of Energy and Vibrations. Connect yourself and invest yourself in your relationship with the higher powers (God) and let it's power work within you.
3.If you want a new life, have faith .
-Trust that your new life is already here and is far better than the old. Stay the course
"If you’re depressed, you are living in the past. If you’re anxious, you’re living in the future. If you are at peace, you are living in the present." -Lao-Tzu
4.Don’t waste your precious time giving one single crap about what anybody else thinks of you.
-Note constructive criticism and feedback that can help you make necessary changes to become a better person
"Wanting to be someone else is a waste of the person you are" - Kurt Kobain
4. Gratitude is the gateway drug to awesomeness.
-When you are grateful, fear disappears and abundance appears.
-Get to the point where you have both unwavering faith and unwavering gratitude for that which you desire. Mixing these two is the high holy grail of manifesting
There are SO many more amazing points in this book and I really highly encourage you all to pick up a copy for yourself. It is a great reminder to stay grounded, present and channel the deepest, purest form of joy from within you and do all that you can to make that an active priority in your daily life.
