Hey mamas! Happy KLSD Mama Monday! We're back with another interview for you. This one is all about the joys and challenges of breastfeeding. A lot of women love breastfeeding, and a lot of women struggle with it. So we sat down with a group of Fresno mamas to openly discuss their journeys during World Breastfeeding Week. Jordan, Danica, and Tia opened up to us about the strangest places they've breastfed, building a milk supply, their funniest moments breastfeeding, and so much more in hopes that other mamas won't feel alone.

We meet again, ladies! Happy Mama Monday! This week to finish up the month of May we talk to Giovanna about Postpartum depression and how that has affected her life as a wife, mama and woman. Gio is the mama of two beautiful babies and dives in deep with us about how postpartum depression has trickled into her life.
According to the American Psychological Association, 1 in 7 women experience the extreme mood disorder known as "Postpartum depression". It's effect on women post birthing their children is debilitating and not something many feel comfortable discussing as the topic is still very taboo. Which is why we are so honored Gio shared her journey with us and the more we talk about this, the more awareness and understanding we bring to the topic. Women need to know they are not alone in this. Women need to know it is ok to speak on this and ask for help. Women need to know it is not abnormal and the feelings their experiencing are very real.
These interviews are meant to bring light to all different topics related to motherhood and I sincerely hope that if you have struggled with PPD or are currently struggling with it that you will find comfort in this interview and lean on us or Gio or your close loved ones for support. You DO NOT have to sustain this alone. Feel free to comment below, or on our youtube channel, we would love to chat!

We are SO excited to relaunch #klsdmamamonday you guys. For those who don't know, KLSD Mama Monday is an exclusive interview series, where we interview women in all stages of Motherhood. We interview new moms, seasoned moms, stay at home moms, and working moms. We cover topics such as single parenting, comparison, depression, birth, adoption and so much more. We launched back in August with a powerful interview with Tawona about single parenting. She spilled out her heart about her struggles and strengths being a single mother has brought her through and it was beautiful.
After launching a few interviews we decided to put our interviews on hold to launch them at a time where we could better focus and give them the love they deserve!
And here we are! We are so happy to being you an interview with Shelley about the mother she is now VS. the mother she thought she would be prior to children. Her words are so encouraging in reminding us that we have to do what we have to do as mamas to stay healthy and happy and not to let anyone make you feel less than for those choices. She touches on the overwhelming pressure of being a mama and how you are enough just as you are! That YOUR happiness is VITAL to being a good mama, and you have to prioritize that!

Prodromal labor can last weeks, and in my case has with with all three pregnancies. Labor pains are real, strong and lead you to believe you are experiencing the real deal, only to find out, you're not.
