Hey guys, welcome to our new series: Monday Mom Meals! We teamed up with Chef Shayna to share a new recipe every month that's quick, easy, and delicious for the whole fam. Shayna has spent nearly a decade in Fresno teaching kids and parents how to cook! She also created Supper Club, a fun gathering for people to meal prep ten meals for the dinner table!
Our first recipe for Monday Mom Meals is chicken marsala! It's a little fancy but super easy to make in the slow cooker or Instant Pot. Pro tip: Make two batches so you have a meal ready for another day! Buy double the ingredients and freeze one set in a ziploc bag. When cooking from frozen, set the slow cooker on low for 5 hours and voila! dinner's ready!
Happy Mama Monday, ladies!! This week we're chatting with Chantea McIntyre, educator, blogger, and mom of 4, about the joys and struggles that come with adoption and infertility. She dives deep into the struggles behind infertility and the joy she has found through adoption. I myself have struggled with miscarriage and my husband and I often discuss adopting a child next rather than try and conceive again. Not because I have struggled an immense about but because I feel there are so many children who desperately need homes. This subject is something my husband and I still haven't decided on completely but is definitely something we have put our 100% faith in God to reveal his path for us in this regard.
Her unwavering spirit and dedication to her faith is the foundation to all that she does and I love this so much about this sweet soul. She talks all about her relationship with her husband through out the entire process of infertility and adoption and reveals some real truths behind infertility and adoption that most don't divulge.
We were so honored to hear from Chantea and feel so privileged to share her story. If you are one of the women who have struggled through infertility or are a woman currently in the process of adoption, are considering adoption or are currently an adoptive mama, this one is for you! We hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
We are SO excited to relaunch #klsdmamamonday you guys. For those who don't know, KLSD Mama Monday is an exclusive interview series, where we interview women in all stages of Motherhood. We interview new moms, seasoned moms, stay at home moms, and working moms. We cover topics such as single parenting, comparison, depression, birth, adoption and so much more. We launched back in August with a powerful interview with Tawona about single parenting. She spilled out her heart about her struggles and strengths being a single mother has brought her through and it was beautiful.
After launching a few interviews we decided to put our interviews on hold to launch them at a time where we could better focus and give them the love they deserve!
And here we are! We are so happy to being you an interview with Shelley about the mother she is now VS. the mother she thought she would be prior to children. Her words are so encouraging in reminding us that we have to do what we have to do as mamas to stay healthy and happy and not to let anyone make you feel less than for those choices. She touches on the overwhelming pressure of being a mama and how you are enough just as you are! That YOUR happiness is VITAL to being a good mama, and you have to prioritize that!
So, go ahead and check out the full interview below on our you tube channel and let us know what you think! We would love to connect with you here or on you tube about how this interview makes you feel!
Interviews will be live every Monday in May and once monthly starting in June so sit back, grab a glass of tea, wine or coffee, whatever your fancy and enjoy this honest, raw interview from one of the boldest, most hilarious souls I know!

Prodromal labor can last weeks, and in my case has with with all three pregnancies. Labor pains are real, strong and lead you to believe you are experiencing the real deal, only to find out, you're not.
